Itaewon, the Mosque, and some Turkish food

one recent sunday during the late afternoon a friend and i decided to check out the mosque in itaewon and get some turkish food. we hopped on a bus in jeongja and in 20 minutes we were nearby itaewon. took a short taxi ride, then walked up to the mosque.

B&W of a street draped with wires on the way to the mosque. my friend eun-jung is in the photo on the left in the white shirt. :)

the largest of 5 mosques in korea....

close-up...just had my 50mm on the nikon D80 today....

one of the reasons for checking out this area was to check out a turkish restaurant named 'salam'
we ordered the dinner set to get an array of tasty middle eastern food.

lamb, potatoes, carrots and peas.... yummy! nice break from the kimchi! :)

this was some minced meat with eggplant...one of the favorites at our table!

this was my favorite, lamb stuffed pepper...

the links reminded me of cevapcicci

well....that's all....an enjoyable evening ending with a few beers at the wolfhound, then the bus back to bundang.

until next time....... :D
