January '08...in S. Korea...
The first rose of the year.....
Snowy day in Bundang, S.Korea
World Map in my small studio apartment....laying down focusing in on "Bali" Indonesia.
Nice Chilean Cab finished....and should we have another....
Well.....thinking of a trip to "Bali"......hmmm....maybe the second bottle wasn't such a good idea. A trip to Bali is in the near Future!
A trip to the Center of Seoul to show the area to our new teacher.
Typical Seoul street.
Alley on the way to Insadong...
Interesting Tea shop...Tea Time anyone? or some food first?
Well...we found a nice traditional Korean restaurant. In the Insadong area (Artist Area of Seoul) there are many incredible restaurants. Love the Korean food.
Gomi...our new teacher at Morning Spirit Academy...enjoying some Sun-du-bu-jiggae. Among other dishes.
Tasty Kimchi jiggae. So...we got a bowl of Makkolli (traditional rice wine) and I kept grabbing the rice bowl instead of the drink bowl....i guess the Makkolli was going to my head....Be Careful!
Toy Shop in Insadong
We went by Jogyesa, the Buddhist Temple near the center of Seoul. Many colorful lanterns hanging above.
Lanterns and Buddha....
Prayer candles....
The seven story Pagoda.....containing some cremated remains of the Buddha or of a Buddhist monk.
Details about Sarira...
Back to Insadong.....night time, walking around one of the many art galleries.
Neon Tower Art.....
Picasso at the Seongnam Arts Center...
Cool mirrored image....looking kinda skinny.....
Balanced Swimmer....
Erin capturing some art work....
interesting perspective.....
Seongnam Arts Center....nice to have near by. Only about 10 minute taxi ride away.
A little too much sun...
Pink lady?
hmmm......
man in hoody.....
Tea kettle wind chimes in Itaewon....
Darts at the Wolfhound Irish Pub in Itaewon.....
Hope you enjoyed the viewing! Until next time.....

Happy New Year in S.Korea 2008!
Well, it's Christmas in S.Korea....Actually, to tell the truth, it does not feel like it....maybe because of no time off from teaching. These kids have school on x-mas day. So...I was teaching unhappy kids from 9am to 1pm. However, afterwards went to a co-workers house for a nice dinner party and then off to the bars with Gomi and Kevin (two co-workers). All-in-all it was not that bad.
Feeling some Holiday spirit below. Nice tree in Seohyeon Station.
A few lights around Jeongja, Bundang.
Ahhh.....winter mountain biking. Fun stuff! Snow pack, ice and mud.
The start of the technical section on the "Cafe 32 Loop"
Here we go!
Noticed this map in one of the subway stations. Interesting view. Check it out!
End of the year company work party. Korean BBQ and plenty of SOJU! (the green bottles)
Really delicious foods. time to get the party started!
Enjoyed an evening at the Seoul Ballet Theatre in Seongnam. The Nutcracker was in town.
My favorite Korean Language teacher and friend Hyo Jeong (left) and her friend Irena. Enjoying the Holiday Spirit.
Good Times...
Modeling a warm fashionable pink downie. Hey look at me!!
New Years Eve...are my eyes blurry or is it the camera....?
New Year's Eve after work....yes had to work until 10:40p...met up with a few friends for some fun at the WA Bar. The "Woo" man on the bar stool, Gomi our new foreign teacher, and Erin throwin' darts. Is it a Bulls Eye?
A healthy spin on Chicken...OMEGA 3 anyone?
Rodeo Drive in Abgujeong. Fancy...upscale...ritzy...shi-shi area in the outer limits of Seoul. Lots of high end shopping and plastic surgeons. Great place to have lunch and wonder around.
Hope you all enjoyed the show, sorry it's been awhile.....I guess I was too busy working over the holidays..... :)
Be Back soon!!!
