Summer Fun in S.Korea....

Well, it has been about a month since the last time I kayaked. Still not much rain, but "they" say it's on the way. Summer has been enjoyable so far. The temps have been comfortable, however now the humidity and heat is setting in......

This is the put-in bridge on the Naerichon. As you can see the water is very low. The water temp was perfect. It's going to be great to kayak in warm water this summer.

Here we go....not many action photos, but it was still fun!!

Me and Mandu....hanging out, taking a break.

Time to eat some lunch. Menu...Cup of Spicy Ramen. We spent about 5 hrs on the river and the Ramen tasted delicious.

Getting towards the bottom...

Havin' a good old time!

Beautiful area....the mountain sides are becoming very lush....

check out the shrimp on the BBQ, too bad I am allergic....

A watermelon, a few beers, and a few bottles of SOJU....

The Outdoor Family compound. Relaxing before some kayaking....

I can eat this.....pigs feet meat.....

And some dried squid....

I passed on the cow stomach and blood soup.....not my flavor! I tried it once...

telling stories and enjoying the night....

Thinking of Scott Young here....check out the Riot Magnum (model of Kayak) I believe the only one in S.Korea....Still waiting for the rain to explore some creeks....I am ready after constantly checking www.mountainbuzz.com every day at work....as I am missing one of the best seasons in Colorado.....

Mr. Park of the Seongnam Kayak School surfing in his new Jackson AllStar!

Check out the cigarette....a common site among the Korean paddlers.....this guy fits the Riot Magnum well....!

Packing up after 1 night and 2 days in the mountains of Gang-Wan-Do....Time to head back to the city....

On the way home we stopped to get some ice cream....and noticed this interesting wooden figure....

Egret hanging out in the Tanchon....Wildlife in the city.....

Well, some rain has arrived...it rained all night and all day, this is right down the street from my villa. Some workers are closing down the bridge....the water was bank to bank and about to spill over.....YAHOO!

That's all folks.....Until next time......ENJOY SUMMER!!!

Just a few photo's....

The roses have begun to bloom.....makes for relaxing walks around Bundang....

These were in full bloom....

The worst day so far of experiencing the yellow sand coming from the Mongolian desert, picking up pollution in China, and then making it's way to S.Korea....Sketchy....yellow tint in the sky, close the windows, stay indoors, and wear the mask to the taxi stand to avoid walking to work....Check out the graph below.... Luckily it doesn't happen often and lasted for only a day!

Dinner for a friend that is leaving and heading back to LA....

Cool shot of Tom with the models in Samsung Plaza....on the way to a bar.....

Hey....Steve Sell...was thinking of you and your hobby of building train sets...how about a Korean Engine...KORAIL

Some art work outside a restaurant in Itaewon....

Earth worms are coming out on the rainy days....trying to avoid them while walking home from work!

Construction of a new city near Bundang, supposed to be the up and coming wealthy area....and I imagine, more English schools...hmmm...maybe I should stick around....
Along the Tanchon River trail....One of the benefits of living in Bundang...

Went up to the Seoul Arts Center and checked out The Jewels of Tiffany 1837-2007. have to admit, pretty cool exhibit. Some incredible craftsmanship.

The famed piece below...The Tiffany Diamond "Bird on a rock" Brooch.

Well, that's all folks.

See you soon!
